It has been years in the making… and a combining of passions.
Every since I was a little kid I had been interested in cars and motorsports. I spent hours looking at Road & Track magazines and memorized the 0-60 times and many other stats on nearly every car in the magazine.
As a teenager, I was always taking photos and video and remember zip tying a digital camera onto my car and going for drives… well before the days of action cams.
My interest in motorsports led me to pursuing a mechanical engineering degree where I spent four years as a member of my university’s Formula SAE team…
Turning down a design engineering job at Honda, my professional career took me down a path of adventure where I was chasing down 300,000 lb haul trucks in mines across North America and using telemetry equipment designed for race cars in order to analyze these giant pieces of equipment and how they operate.
For the last several years, I have been selling a product (bearings) which is used on every passenger car and racecar ever made. I’m proud to work for a company whose logo appears on the Scuderia Ferrari F1 car for decades, including the championships of Lauda, Scheckter, and Schumacher.
As a casual track day and autocross enthusiast, I have decided to join my passion and professional experience into one with the creation of Justin’s Telemetry Garage!
